point
Point, or knifepoint, is the tip of the knife where the spine, or secondary cutting edge, meets the primary cutting edge to form a point. Due to its inherent lack of strength, the tip is usually the weakest point of a knife and it is prone to bending or snapping under extreme usage.
Some strength may be retained in the point if its construction is more pyramidal, rather than triangular. This can be enacted by lowering the point's axis from the spine, using a drop point design or with a swedge etc.
