clip-point

A clip-point is a type of knifepoint where the spine of the knife is cut in a concave arc to meet the cutting edge of the knife. This style of knifepoint is seen on most Bowie style knives as well as some folding knives. Both Spyderco and SOG have extensive experience with clip-point knife designs.

As well as being a hallmark of the Bowie knife, the shape, or rather scope of shape, of clip-point blades has led to its adoption by some boutique knife makers including Gavko knives, featured on both the "Bowie" and "Raptor" models.
