Kaiken
A traditional Japanese knife, shorter than a Tanto only being around 8" total in length, the Kaiken (originally Kwaiken) was carried by both men and women. It is famous for being the blade entrusted to a family's daughter when she was wed so that she might take her own life should her virtues be besmeeched.
