A main mundane character in the story. He is Clary's best friend and they always get along together everywhere. Simon is dragged into Clary's adventure to save Jocelyn. Though he is a mundane who cannot fight, he helps with many other things. Simon is abducted by vampires clan when they come to Magnus Bane's party. He survives but it appears that the vampire has bitten him. After the vampire incident, he confesses to Clary that he loves her. However, he understands that Clary is with Jace. He feels dissapointed and leaves Clary. Later on, he comes back in the adventure and together with Isabelle tries to stop the demons' attack.
