A yurt is a traditional structure used by nomads in Central Asia as their homes. Yurts have been an important part of life in Central Asia for upwards of three thousand years. A yurt is a portable circular bent dwelling structure supported by steam bent wood poles and then covered with fabric and sheep's wool for insulation.
