Un tip de limfocite când. Există două tipuri principale de limfocitelor T: CD8 celule (limfocitelor t citotoxice) şi celule CD4 (limfocitelor t ajutor); ambele tipuri de celule t sunt esențiale pentru un sistem imunitar sanatos. HIV infecteaza şi distruge celule CD4, treptat distrugerea sistemului imunitar.
