SnCl4 A colorless, fuming liquid; soluble in cold water, alcohol, carbon disulfide, and oil of turpentine; decomposed by hot water; boils at 114_C; used as a conductive coating and a sugar bleach, and in drugs, ceramics, soaps, and blueprinting. Also known as tin chloride; tin tetrachloride.
