Legally required security for investments of the assets of individuals under guardianship. In Switzerland, the Civil Code sections 401 and 402 provide that such funds must be placed in low-risk, interest-bearing investments. Savings deposits and public sector bonds are permitted. Investments in equities, participation certificates and derivatives, on the other hand, are prohibited.
