priest
The most significant liturgical acts reserved to priests in these Christian traditions are the administration of the Sacraments, including the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, also called Confession. The sacraments of Anointing of the Sick (Extreme Unction) and Confirmation or Chrismation are also administered by priests. In Eastern Churches, priests are generally married, but celibate priests are not unheard of.
Every priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. Heb.5.
