navi / nekrštenici / drekavac
Navi, nekrštenici ("the unbaptized ones") and drekavaci ("the howlers") are all different names for undead children which were aborted or allowed to die before their baptism. They wait and cry at night, usually taking forms of different animals, especially birds. They can cause harm to their former mother or her children. One way to dispose of them is to make the sign of cross and say: "I make this sign of cross in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
