A hexagonal mineral, Mg3(BO3)(F,OH)3; colorless; occurs as fibrous masses of small prisms in skarns and veinlets in massive franklinite ore at Sterling Hill, NJ; also at Norberg, Sweden; Nocera, Italy; and Broadford, Scotland. Formerly called nocerite.
