Bubur ayam is an Indonesian style chicken congee which is served in a bowl with some condiments like sambal (chilli-based sauce), fried nuts, shredded chicken, fried shallots, soy sauce, and Indonesian crackers.

The congee is made of rice and it's best served while it's hot to avoid it being watery. Bubur ayam is a popular breakfast and easily found anywhere in Indonesia as the vendors travel around residential areas in the morning.
