Since k-pop groups usually consist of many members, it is highly common for fans to become especially attached to one of them, thus selecting him or her as their favorite. Said favorite member is referred to as someone’s bias. There are a myriad of criteria that might be considered, all of which depend on the fans themselves. Such criteria may include: physical appearance, singing and/or dancing performance, perceived charisma (which might encompass the idol’s social media activity and the persona displayed on variety shows and interviews) and several combinations of these items, as well as others that haven’t been mentioned in this definition.
Example of usage:
“My bias is Tao oppa! He’s so sensitive and he isn’t afraid to show his true emotions! The back flip he used to do at the end of Overdose was so cool~ Too bad he left the group T_T”
