SWX Swiss Exchange
Official name of the Swiss bourse. Abbreviation: SWX. SWX was created in 1995 with the merger of the exchanges in Geneva, Basel and Zurich. Since 1996, all securities on the Swiss Exchange have been traded electronically, and floor trading thus abolished. SWX is supervised by the Swiss Federal Banking Commission (SFBC). See also virt-x.
