Kyoto Protocol
The protocol is an international agreement signed in the Kyoto city of Japan in 1997, aimed at fighting global warming. The countries that have signed the protocol have committed themselves to reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses GHG [ water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone ] that absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range, step by step to prevent pollution of air and global warming. Signatories are the most of the countries though many of them not implementing it wholeheartedly fearing that it would rather affect their economy adversely.
