The Avonlea schoolhouse was an one-room schoolhouse for the children of Avonlea.

It was the only building on the Avonlea set that had an interior used for filming.

Anne Shirley was a teacher in the Avonlea schoolhouse for a short while. In the Road to Avonlea series, Hetty was the schoolteacher for many years until Clive Pettibone took over. Muriel Stacy and Mr. Dimple were also teaching there when Hetty was sick / was pushed into resigning.
