tweep
A tweep is a Twitter user who is a rookie or a novice by virtue of their low number of tweets. The term is a portmanteau of Twitter and peep. Theoretically, tweeps can also be called followers as they mostly follow other users' tweets instead of tweeting actively on their own. Sometimes, tweep has been viewed as a negatively charged term as it implies low merit determined only by the number of tweets. On the other hand, the amount of time an individual has had a Twitter account may or may not determining if an individual is a "tweep."
