TiCl3 Toxic, dark-violet, deliquescent crystals soluble in alcohol and some amines, decomposes in water with heat evolution, decomposes above 440_C; used as a reducing agent, chemical intermediate, polymerization catalyst, and laundry stripping agent. Also known as titanous chloride.
