replication source

(1) In SQL replication, a table, view, or nickname that is registered as a source for replication. Changes that are made to this table, view, or nickname are captured and copied to a target table that is defined in a subscription-set member. (2) In Q replication, a table that is a source for replication. Changes made to this type of table are captured and copied to a target table that is defined in a Q subscription or an XML publication. See also Q subscription, XML publication.
