John Lydon was born with name John Joseph Lydon on 31 January 1956. He was the lead singer Sex Pistols, the punk rock band in which he was called as Johnny Rotten. Since the Sex Pistols was over in 1978, Rotten founded and fronted the post-punk band Public Image Ltd (PiL) in 1978.
