East Africa Drought
Taking place in mid July 2011, causing food shortages over Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Djibouti, the East Africa Drought threatened the livelihood of 9.5 million people, causing Somalian refugees to flee to Kenya and Ethiopia. It cause a widespread of famine and death. By early 2012 after the return of the refugees, rebel controlled areas had improved and rainfall surpassed expectations.
