A US TV series that chronicles the life of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), an overqualified high school chemistry teacher who decides to manufacture methamphetamine after learning that he has cancer, in an effort to provide financial security for his family after his death. He partners with a former student of his, Jessie Pinkman (Aaron Paul), and together they begin to discover the criminal underworld of drug dealers while attempting to maintain normal lives to hide their activities.
The show is a critical and commercial success, picking up six Emmy Awards during its first three seasons, with the currently airing season 4 being expected to net the show more. It has consistently increased viewing figures throughout seasons, peaking at 2.6 million viewers during the season 4 premiere.
A final season was commissioned on the 14th August 2011 and will likely air in late 2012.
