Adidas is a German company that designs and produces sports clothing, bags, and other items, based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany. It was founded by Adolf Dassler in 1948 which was later followed by a split between him and his older brother Rudolf. Later, Rudolf came up with Puma which was the early competitor of Adidas. Adidas is known for its sportswear but besides that it also deals in other products such as baggage, shirts, watches and other sports- and clothing-related items. Adidas is a leading sportswear manufacturer in countries like Europe and Germany. It is also the second largest sportswear producer in the world.Adidas has a logo featuring three parallel strips representing Dassler's three sons. There are three groups of Adidas: Adidas Performance meant for athletes, Adidas Originals with more focus on fashion and style and Style Essentials.
