Rory Williams, sometimes Rory Pond, is a companion of the Eleventh Doctor. Rory is a nurse and the fiancé of Amy Pond. On the night before his and Amy’s wedding, the Doctor shows up at his stag do and takes Rory to travel with them. He is killed and erased from reality and history after being absorbed by a crack in time and space. Rory later appears as an Auton right before the opening of the Pandorica, and remains a guardian to Amy, who is sealed inside the Pandorica, for 1,894 years. He is finally restored to his human form after the second Big Bang. With his wife Amy, Rory has a daughter, Melody Pond, later revealed to be River Song; making him the Doctor’s father-in-law. In one of their adventures with the Doctor, Rory is attacked by a Weeping Angel in 2012 and sent back in time, with Amy following soon afterwards, hoping to be reunited with him. He dies at the age 82 in New York City, some time before 2012.
